Structured Approach	Object Oriented Approach
The program is represented as a logical structure.	Program is written as a collection of objects which communicate with each other.
Used to develop the Traditional Projects that uses procedural programming.	Used to develop the Object Oriented Project that depends on object oriented programming.
The flow of execution of the programming is dependent on structure of the program.	The basic entity is object.
Use common process such as analysis, design, implementation, and testing.	Use UML notation such as use case, class diagram, communication diagram, development diagram and sequence diagram
Code is given more importance.	Data is given more importance.
Can handle up to moderately complex programs.	Can handle very complex programs.
Less data security.	More data security.
Less data reusable.	More reusable.
Programs are divided into small self-contained functions.	Programs are divided into small entities called objects.
Flexibility is less.	Flexibility is more.
Abstraction is less.	abstraction is more.
This is top-down approach	This is bottom-up approach.
